Also, do you ever have a problem with the springs popping out of the speaker terminals? I've worked with a few of these, and have had that happen on almost every one! They are handy little amps for all kinds of projects though.

Quick tip: try using WD40, this worked for months and was easy. I have one and it does have good sound, but in addition to the scrachy volume, the power input has gotten lose to where its a pain, and now the L input goes in and out. I'm about done with this thing and all the issues, but will try to resolder the connections. Also, I found that when I acquired a 12v sealed lead acid battery from my prior ISP equipment (about size of motorcycle battery) WOW the sound greatly improved. The powersupplies are not very good, recommend using a battery and charge it with solar or charger (mine is in a boombox I made with 6x9's and is portable).

i have lepy lp 2020a with 13.5v and 3a amperage power supply for the amp and a 75w studio monitors music plays when turning the volume up on the amp i hear a big pop cuts out for about a second then does it again and the static sound increases how do i fix could it be the power supply what volt and amperage plug do u recommend so i also dont get distortion. the amp is a lepy lp 2020a and speakers are eris e4.5 presonus
