just ordered my maxed out thinkpad z16. i think what lenovo did this year is STUNNING. these design is superior.

the only thing, as always whats a bummer against the macbooks is the NOT centered touchpad.

The weight starts at 1.19kg per spec, so your scale showing 859g is definitely wrong. If it was under 1kg that would be quite an achievement for a 13" class device and Lenovo would be advertising this everywhere. But even the Thinkbook 13x Gen 4 magnesium/stainless steel edition, one specifically marketed as ultra-light, just starts at 1kg and that's probably without the touch screen.

What a beautiful laptop. I love that there's an option to buy it with Linux pre-installed too (Fedora or Ubuntu). I think a 13 inch might be a little too small for me though.

So what is the budget variant of the Thinkpad Series?
I only need it for writing and content consumption. Maybe light gaming (rocket league) if any gaming at all. But I do use a lot of different browsers and browser tabs when researching for the writing purposes.

very good review, and good for you for counting the charger when you weighed often giggle when i see other reviewers weighing have been working in IT. for almost 30 yrs and never have i only brought a laptop by itself in my bag....does it really matter if your laptop is 2 lbs or 3 lbs when a person is always bringing 20-40 lbs of other omg dont even get me started on whether you can open it with one

Keyboard missing dedicated pgup pgdown key?!? ...this might be a deal breaker for me. Also, connectivity is really poor.

I don't know if you do it intentionally but your video has a certain amount of grain that is perfect for youtube because it removes banding in dark gradients. Most youtubers with high production value don't even get this right.

As for the laptop. WOW, specially that keyboard. I'm not a big fan of the nipple tho.
