This one as a kid really scared the shit outta me. Freaked me out for weeks. The Dr Werewolf was a nightmarish beast. Truly Creepy.

The best part of this movie is when Richard (played by Michael T. Weiss) gets intimate with Eleanor (Lamya Derval). Oh, and of course, Richard's werewolf changing sequence, which was extremely creative and freaky; not to mention, painful looking.

So, "The Howling 4" follows the story in the original book? Because I remember Joe Dante saying when they made the 1st one they just "took" the original concept from the book and "re-wrote" the whole thing for their version.

apparently the trilogy of novels written by gary brandner has almost no continuity between volumes 2 and 3
this may account for the liiberties taken with the films. you can read vol. 1 and settle for that alone.
