Recorded 64 years ago on what was by today's standards primitive equipment, but somehow still sounds fresh. The pure energy of Buddy's songs are undeniable.

There is something comforting about vintage footage being played on a modern day media platform. Like even though the footage is outdated, it's so good that people will never let it fade into obscurity and continuously have access to it with modern tech.

I didn't realize he had such grit to his voice. When sings "I'm gonna see my baby tonight" for example - I understand even better now why so many of my favorite musicians love him so much

Listening to this makes me appreciate Gary Busey's portrayal of Buddy all the more. He brought an harder more rockish edge to Buddy's music that gave it a new dimension!
