my <a> tags are going to the left side after applying display inline block how can i fix that

Hey guys, how do I add text to it afterward? I am adding <p> into the <body></body> but the text is appearing off the image and under the image and stuff. How do I fix that? I tried adding the <p></p> into the <div class="hero" but that just made the text appear on the top of the nav bar and stuff and I could not bring it down. If anyone has a fix or suggestions that would be amazing. Thanks!

i tried writing code similiar to this. when it came to adding the image via the css url, the image never shows up for me. i have the image inside the same folder as my code. PLEASE HELP
