The key to a solid tre flip is scoop the second the tail hits the ground, no sooner or later. Scoop too soon and the board wants to over rotate. Scoop too late and it will under rotate or flip too much.

This is actually the most perfect tre flip advice for us older gentlemen.

When I do my treflips, I try to keep the board going straight by balancing the weight between my feet and controlling with the back foot. If you take a closer look at the pro’s treflips, in general they don’t turn before the scoop. The upper body being squared to the board helps to keep the board riding straight. By doing this, your front foot will be waiting for the board to rotate to stop the movement. If you read my comment, I suggest you to try these tips… good luck!

Randomly found this in my recommended. I've been struggling with this trick for a while, only landed one in a game of skate but never again since then. This gave me some motivation to try it tomorrow and think about that front foot. Thanks!

🙌🏽 That back foot placement also helps tremendously with higher pop on the tre flip.

The "lift the front leg first otherwise the balance goes nowhere" is pretty obvious when you know it. It's true that I try to lift both feet at the same time whatever the trick I try to do. It's going to help me a lot ! (Sorry for my bad English I'm french)

This is a great video. As I watched your attempts, I realized that I have the same problem with my switch tre's. It's the tendency to jump forward or turn my shoulders on the scoop. It makes it difficult to roll away clean because there's lateral movement in addition to the forward momentum. Sorry for getting all technical, but watching this video made me realize this.

They aren't hard I used to think all this myself. Now they're a warm up for me. Keep skating everyone!

It’s all in the scoop, fr was trying it for 2 years and focusing on the scoop is what helped me get them down

Align your shoulders with the board. Your shoulder are perpendicular with the board, and at the moment you pop, your legs are gonna follow your shoulders. That's why your first attemps you're only catching with one foot facing forward.

Man, this is it. I Believe I have finally found my YouTube channel, the semantics unfolded when breaking down the tricks, the filming, the awareness of learning step by step when building up to the trick, I definitely dig this! Dare I say it’s Wednesday but it does feel like Friday 😂🙏🏼💯 leggooo
