Zizek is amazing. I first heard of him in either the free alternative weekly in Miami, the New Times, or maybe even my community college student paper. It described him as a Lacanian Marxist philosopher. I didn't know who either he or Lacan were and i pronounced his name like an American with no background. I missed his lecture but something got me and i remembered him. Without knowing anything i thought he was cool. Now many years later it's obvious that I wasn't alone. But the amazing thing to me is that he is a kind of genius Teddy bear of critical discourse and a kind of humorist. This is remarkable. Who does that? Who can merge these things? I think this in itself is worthy of serious study. Whenever I see him i want to give him a hug and thank him for being such a clever post Marxist anti-capitalist arahant who despite the density of his work never fails to project compassion.

You have to read the conditions of the so called "bailout". In the U.S the goverment becomes a shareholder of every company that is hurt, with "fresh printed money". Thats why a lot of companies denied the help from the goverment. In the EU they again create Bonds...We will see in the long term which strategy worked better
