It was a clean defensive move however in an objective point of view, that shake off when Luka was falling was a bit unnecessary. Instead of untangling their arms he swayed it back that made Luka fall harder. Mavs should have not pushed him tho, it was unnecessary. But with how dirty Clippers played last year on physically hurting Luka, it's understandable how his teammates are quick to defend him.

Even as a Mavs fan, I can honestly say there wasn't anything malicious about that. Luka didn't even bother reacting. But I get why the other guys stepped in.

Royce O'Neale's earlier shove to Luka was bad though.

It's because Luka tried to grab onto Whiteside and he was falling and Whiteside looked to kind of shed him instead of break his fall. So it could have been taken as a lack of sportsmanship as Whiteside kinda let him hit the deck. Was a clean block and play and Luka just had a hissy fit.

Whiteside probably could've stopped Doncic from falling as hard as he did and thats why Doncic is upset, but this is the playoffs. It's not his problem if Doncic lands hard or soft.

To be fair, Luka's reaction and shake was to sell the contact to refs. The defense was clean. I aint Jazz fan, but this was kinda ridiculous.

Luka wasn't even upset because Whiteside even tried to help him up which diffused it between them, it was the teammates that escalated it. I get being protective of your teammates but, there are ways to go about it without escalating things for bs reasons like this.
