That 5-6 pair @ 10:20 was killing me the whole time

Thank you for choosing my puzzle. This started as a "study" before I wanted to make a real puzzle with the ruleset, but turned out to be good enough to not throw it away. I really hope there are a lot of better puzzles coming this year :-)
I tried to make it without givens (like I always do whenever it is possible) but it's very hard to get control about all the small digits at once. After all, if you only look at a single thermometer, you can always swap the bulb with one of it's neighbors, so you always have to get a restriction from somewhere else.

Simon is the Bob Ross of Sudoku, with that soothing, calming voice.

'Happy Little Threes', anyone?

19:10. "It's February. You won't do a better puzzle this whole year than this!". Hah! He clearly didn't foresee that he would create a Covid19 sudoku renaissance.

That 56 pair in the down left corner was solvable almost the entire puzzle because of the thermometer. One of the few things in this puzzle I solved on my own.

Now we wait for the eventual "No Bulb, Hidden Broken Thermometer" sudoku.

For what it's worth, I interviewed at Google, and they don't do puzzles / brainteasers anymore (haven't for years). Apparently they don't predict job performance.

I can't believe it took 26 minutes to disambiguate the 56 pair in box 7. It was on a thermo!

The 56 pair in the lower left drove me nuts the entire solve, as they were immediately resolvable.

I love this channel for it's pure conciseness and quality.
I know it is probably a big ask cos of the work needed to be done, however it would be greatly appreciated (I'm guessing not only by me) if you guys could start updating older video puzzles and add them to your web app. No need to rush things, just updates every other date or even longer to slowly get all puzzles solvable on the app. Thx for your great efforts!

I love those small differences you can have by using the same numbers to solve the same thing, for the top row, at 21:30 Simon used the 2 as a starter for his logic, while I started at the 1's and found the left 1 was impossible (because you would need 5, 6, 7, 8/9, but the 8/9 was already in the row.

"It's quite easy to see that ..." - Nope, didn't see that. (hangs head in shame)

Really enjoyed this one. Took me all day on-and-off during work breaks. I focused hard on the bottom right box, and the vertical thermometer, working though possibilities. A real grind, and on looking at the solution, it seems that I got a bit lucky with some assumptions.
10 out of 10. Great stuff.

Unbelievable. Since yesterday I've been constructing a no-bulb thermo myself, with exactly the same constraints!

Two Miracle Sudokus later...

I love these videos, but I am still scratching my head at the fact that the 56 pair in column 1 was solvable from the beginning due to the thermometer constraint, but instead it was sorted out way later when box 9 was filled in

Clever construction, as always with Christoph Seeliger... my solve time was 01:11:04; I was really slow with some of the easier logic at the beginning, such as the placement of the first two 9's. Looking forward to tomorrow's puzzle!
