Hi! I'm Taylor Calmus, a Colorado-based actor/comedian. I started Dude Dad© two weeks before my son Theo was born as a way to stay creative while learning to be a father. My wife Heidi and I now have 3 kids and over 300+ videos. My purpose for the channel is to entertain, enlighten and inspire.

In addition to Dude Dad©, I have been in numerous TV shows, commercials, and have regular appearances on Jimmy Kimmel Live. I will also be hosting my own TV show called "Super Dad" on the new Magnolia Network / Discovery+. Heidi and the kids will also be a part of the show. Ok, i never comment, but I'm going to now. Taylor, you hit the nail on the head when you said in your vows that you will "choose to love Heidi every morning when you wake up" key word here is choose. So many people don't understand that. Love becomes a choice after so many years together. It's not always about feelings. Feelings are fickle, they come and go. When you choose whom you're going to marry, it's so very important to understand that love is a choice. There would be way less divorces in this world if people would just understand that. They are my favorite couple!! Prior to moving to Colorado, Heidi was my boss at The Covenant House, which is a shelter in Hollywood that houses homeless and sex trafficked youth. She is such an extraordinary person! She has the biggest heart, she gave blood, sweat and tears to encourage young girls that there is something bigger and better out there.She overflows with that same love for her family and friends!! She’s a demonstration of who I strive to be. She’s so chill, kind, loving, understanding. She is a woman who loves God and God is truly blessing her! When God made Heidi, the mold was definitely broken!! She’s one of a kind!! I’m so blessed to have her as a true friend. I love you!!

Both of your vows made me cry on the spot.. It’s authentic, humorous, truthful without sugar-coating. That’s how it feels after being married with someone for 10 years. It’s not a fairy tale where the handsome Prince on a white horse come take you as his Princess, it’s about a regular guy who chooses to love you everyday no matter how gross you look and how low your mood swings sometimes. I absolutely love the idea of celebrating a 10-year anniversary by recommitting to each other with a renewed vow. Your perspective on your marriage is so much stronger and clearer now, you could be really confident to make a lifetime commitment with the same person from this point on - especially after you have kids and know what your partner is like being parents. My husband and I celebrated our 25th anniversary, 5 miscarriages later and 3 daughters later 21, 19, and 13, marriage and family is such a celebration.
