Fun fact: Kafka’s banner name is “Nessun Dorma” which translates from Italian to “No one will sleep”. It’s a very popular song from the opera Turandot. The gist of the opera is that the princess Turandot will only marry the man who can solve all 3 of her riddles. A prince named Calaf solves her riddles, but the princess still doesn’t want to marry him so he makes a deal with her. If she can figure out his true name by the next day then she can have him executed otherwise she still has to marry him. The song Nessun Dorma is sung by Calaf as the morning approaches and is essentially him celebrating his victory because no one figured out his name. The name of the song comes from the Princess’s guards being heard in the background telling everyone no one will sleep until they figure out his name.

Long story short: Kafka’s banner name being “Nessun Dorma” is a reference to the fact that we don’t know her true name.
