Soon after Still Life (talking) was released, I took the CD to Kauai to play in the rental car, and this song in particular evokes the island for me. It was a simpler time. This version is beautiful too, but I miss the "O, ella" from the vocalist in the opening.

Been a Dianne Reeves for many, many years, this prooves that us who are BIG fans of PMG will thoroughly enjoy this performance, its like Pat said listen, not hear, listen I'm so glad that to be living in this era, what Metheny has contributed to music is enourmas, i agree with his statement 'its the generations to come, that will appreciate the music' let me add that music highly subjective, this will land on the ears of the most creative generations, who love, pursue music as career, much the classical music, this will become distinguish a reference, as seen where music is going, i hope young people pickup a physical instrument and learn (im discounting) those that do, i a have feeling that is a dying art, as music has become so digitized ...
