The EFF will celebrate their 11th anniversary in the Northern Cape on
Saturday. Unisa's Prof. Dirk Kotzé says the EFF leadership will,
over time, have to transform to remain relevant to their identity as a
youth party. He asks: for how long will Julius Malema continue

Journalism in South Africa, needs a serious overhaul. I don't know if it is incompetence, complicity or a general lack of multivariate analysis skills. One example, with all due respect to the professor but stating on the one hand that the EFF will struggle to distinguish itself from other centrist parties as it is forced to move to the center and on the other hand, later in the conversation say that in reality the EFF is not left but center. These two statements cannot both be true at the same time. And the journalist just lets him get away with this without a challenge not even a request for clarification. EFF has went to 2 National Conference, Provincial and regional conferences, but somehow it's internal democracy is questioned. But, ActionSA, PA, and many others hardly go for conferences, but no no issue with their internal democracy. The DA and IFP, UDM have been led by single individuals for years and no issue of internal democracy raised. There is nothing expert and independent about these professors.
