How To Setup HomePod Mini

In this video we teach you how to setup the Apple HomePod Mini. The Apple HomePod Mini was launched in 2020 and is Apples latest addition to the smart speaker, smart voice assistant market.

The Apple HomePod Mini is available in 2 colors and is approximately the same size as an Amazon Echo Dot.

The HomePod Mini has Siri built in and can respond to questions or voice commands that you ask it. It can also be used to remotely control HomeKit compatible smart home devices like smart thermostats, smart lights and smart outlets.

To Setup HomePod Mini:
1. Have your iPhone turned on and near by the HomePod Mini while you setup the device. Then plug in the HomePod Mini and a pop up should show up on your iPhone for you to setup the HomePod device.
2. Click the Setup Button.
3. Follow the onscreen prompts on your iPhone to setup the HomePod Mini.
4. When prompted scan the blinking light on the top of the HomePod Mini.
5. Congratulations you HomePod Mini is now setup.

<- Mac fanatic since the 80's (yes. Had an original) just a heads up for those who use HomePod minis - they are an awesome product BUT they have wifi issues - if you have two (yes I wanted surround sound from my air), you must connect them individually first. The OS system gets confused if you have one on then connect a second while one is on. Turn off the first; connect second then turn on the first again. If you have wifi issues at all when you reset it or it changes in any way the speakers will play up. Begin from scratch and they will be fine. The apple support had no idea and I at least educated one worker :) The OS needs a 1 then 2 not a 1 then 1 again .... I hope this helps someone :)
