Excellent video, and can't agree more.
I;ve been playing for two years, and only now have started singing. Long story, it was always a challenge for me. I know my scales, and practice them almost every day. But I also have spent lots of time doing this. I have to admit, I;m not always sure going down the scale, so I'll put this into my prctice. And sing along.

For the record, I consider myself to be a 'beginning intermediate' player and felt I knew these, but these exercises were very helpful to me, and challenging in spots. One question: once one has obtained a degree of mastery, would it make sense to extend the exercise to include 'minor pentas' as well?
