I'm baffled by the 'effin skill and fingerspitzgefühl involved here. They're making a pastiche / a homage and the result is way up there with the original inspiration. A pinch of Kickstart my Heart mixed in with The Cult as well. Bravo!

I'm really glad that The Darkness still has that good "old school" pure rock and metal sound in year 2016 ^^. They've really defrosted hell and saved rock 'n' roll again as they said back in 2005 in their music video "One way ticket to hell and back" :)
