if she ever does music again, I hope it’s like her 1st and 2nd studio albums! I don’t care if that sound is so 20 years ago. It was one of the happiest times of my life and hearing that sort of pop rock brings me incredible joy. I owned both of those albums back in the day. They bring back some of my warmest memories.

I love how content she is. She doesn't feel the need to make new music urgently just to keep up with whatever trend or to "stay relevant" bc she has a life! She has been an actress, an author, a singer and so many other things. She was already insecure when her last album came out, I remember how much of a struggle that era was for her and she felt like she was expected to compete with the likes of Taylor Swift (whom hasnt stepped away from the spotlight). Her saying she puts her all into what shes doing at the time she's doing it just shows that she feels things deeply. So why put all the hard work into making an album when its not going to bring her the response she wants. Shes a real person and not afraid to live for herself which is awesome! I love that she cares so much about being a mother too!

I think people forget that Hilary never thought of herself as a serious musician per se. Music for her was always just a fun thing she likes to do sometimes but she doesn't take it super seriously.
