NoSql is not acid compliant, that's a big problem for most applications. If SQL dbs had no checks it would just be as fast. I would use NoSql on very specific scenarios but not on most projects.

They have evolved since then, and copied from emerging technologies as an example json field with possibility of indexing
I tried Dynamo DB it wasn’t an easy transition and there is more to know before shifting from sql to no sql
Also there is a lack of support by major web framework for no sql, forget about it if you want to use Rails or Django.
I would still consider nosql but for very specific cases.
You reminded me of 2011 when Nosql was a buzzword and we thought that sql was dead but here we are 2022 and sql is thriving
