How to build the Geekcreit Biaxial Spherical Rotaion DIY kit - Part 2 - The Two Arches

Recently I came across this biaxial sphere led kit. And since I really liked the single 56-LED version, I just had to try this one. This one has two arches which can display different pictures, texts and even animations. One of the arches consists of blue LED's while the other has red LED's.

In this video I will be building the two arches and add them to the main PCB.

That's quite a job to mount this kit! Congrats.

I'm building one right now. THANK YOU much for making this. When it comes to the LED arches lol mine look like a blind man made them. . I have built two different 8x8x8 cubes also, One like the green one you made, and one that has an Arduino running it with bigger square LEDs... I really enjoy your videos. I have a Nixie tube clock I'm going to build next,

Happy to see the result, cause i wanted to order this one, too. But this one should not have the problem with the error, like the red one. Actueel i build my 5th Canton with bluetooth.

Thanks for the video. You are so patient. I would love to have the ability and the money to get so e of those kits. I am currently making a Bluetooth speaker using a receiver and a pair of old speakers. I am using an reclaimed electric scooter battery

I love these videos, thanks for making them. I don't mean this in a mean way at all but, I'm curious why you don't use a flux paste? It makes life SO much easier. Especially at the point where you're trying to join arches!

I don't know what sort of witchcraft you're using but you make that look a whole lot easier than it actually is! I've been soldering for 25+ years and I still struggled with this! LEDs sticking to the iron, not the board, LEDs running away from the iron, LEDs slipping around and ending up wonky, and worst of all - 13 missing LEDs.
Whoever designed this kit should be shot in the face! They call it soldering training, training for what? Nobody else in their right mind would mount SURFACE MOUNT components along the edge of a PCB - the clue's in the name!
They should have used thru-hole LEDs and had a leg either side of the board. That would have made it a nicer size too!
