Shellyann surprised me singing this live music, she showed me her experience and attitude.

I really wasn't expecting Shellyann to sing such a big song, but I thought she pulled it off quite well. She was also one of my favourites, but I'm hoping that Clark, Karis and Joe will do very well in the competition. Shellyann, you have a lovely voice! :)

Shellyann is one of the best belters out there, and manages to retain an interesting tone with lots of variety. But she really only seems comfortable when the can narrow the air passage and use the strength of her diaphragm to force the notes through. When called upon to deliver something more subtle, as in the opening section here, Shellyann struggles with her breathing and loses the emphasis and articulation. I mean no disrespect to any of the competitors, who show tremendous courage in putting themselves on the line like this, so kudos to Shellyann for this performance, which I think was probably 75% knock-out. But sadly that isn't enough at this stage.

I thought this was a really great performance and sad to see her go.  This is actually an incredibly hard song to sing.

I loved it. I would have put Hannah, Liss and Shellyann through. But Rita isn't at one with using her head...

disappointed she didn't get through! She was one of the best! With that beautiful clear tone. Man friggin rita picked all the worst ones :'(

Ok this is interesting but not good enough to be in the live shows sorry shellyann but you are incredible so sad you didn't go through but good luck for the future

Holy holy.... she's better than Katy Perry. WAY better. WOWOWOW.

She actually did a bit more than just belt and therefore this is better than many versions I have heard. But the song doesn't have the oomph it needs when it lacks special connection and she doesn't have any.

I should listen to more versions of this song, because I still haven't heard anyone do the low part any good. It's mostly just about getting through that quickly and then start the firework.
