Thanks, MM, for driving through my original hometown; was there until age 7, lived all over town. The last place we lived was on east 4th Street right across from about where that kid screamed out. That house is gone now, as is my first school, Edgemoor Elementary...

Ty so much for this. I live in Delaware but way south now. I spent much of my early 20s working in Banking. It was so nice to see where I use to park & then walk across to the bldg I use to work at. So much vacancy now.

I was born in the now tore down Wilmington General Hospital in 70. Grew up going to Canby Pool. Played at Canby Park, walked to Indian Rocks, swam. In my teens, my Bestie’s dad owned Joe’s News. We would walk her dog from there to her granparents on Read Street. Can’t do ANY of that now. I used to drive a school bus all over Wilmington and Riverside. Couldn’t pay me a million dollars to do it now. Wilmington is a slum. Nothing good about it any more no matter how many designer bandaids they try to put on it.

I just had a family reunion there August 6th ok.
But we had a hotel stay in Newark.
Boy did I wish I had a tour driver.
Because that's what I was looking for.
Streets, roads not the highway or interstate driving.
That got on my nerves bad.
I enjoyed my visit, seeing my family.
My Mom, Aunts and my Uncle grew up in Wilmington but my first time there as an adult.
Christiana Mall was too big. We enjoyed ourselves tho.
I just wanted to go, hang out tho.
