Public demands action from Baraboo School Board for Nazi salute photo

The Baraboo School District is discussing next steps after a photo went viral showing junior students, with many appearing to be giving the Nazi salute.

I live in Baraboo. I know and am related to some of the minority students at this high school. School officials do NOTHING about racist gestures or comments on almost a daily basis. There was another news segment interviewing the African American student in the photo. He said that he often wears headphones to drown out the racial slurs (n***er). It's disgusting that everyone here in Baraboo is in denial about white students acting this way. It's nothing new to minorities in the area. "European Americans" around here aren't accustomed to be under the spotlight of national attention. Do you see any minorities in that "group hug/ love" picture? Are there any minorities on the school board? Are any adult-aged minorities being interviewed and asked about their experiences with racism in Baraboo? No. I'm sure its the same in countless communities in America. When are these kids going to be held accountable for their actions?

The photographer sarcastically "apologized" !

They are children. They should definitely be held accountable, but the photographer who literally told them to ride their hands, obviously was very influential in encouraging this behavior. And yes, then he proudly posts the photo on his site.
When he took it down, he wrote a single sentence of apology. If you look closely, the rest of his statement is calling other people "jerks" for being upset over his inappropriate photo. He flat out says "you are jerks". For what? For being offended by your racist work?
The photographer should be held accountable as the adult who invited these kids to act inappropriately.. and yes, the kids should be educated as to the horror of their behavior, and punished as well.

Let’s just say the kids didn’t know what they were doing, or the history, you mean to tell me the photographer who posted that picture didn’t see anything wrong with that picture? Why would you even post something like that as an adult, when you know the history behind it?

Anyone else ready the comment on the photographers website in the video? The entire paragraph is attacking people for being negative on the photo, only the last 8 words are any remote to people insulted by the photo. The photog should be held accountable for telling the kids to do that pose
