Try "Born in Sin" by Kinley MacGreggor. It's about a brooding ex assassin who's mother didn't want him...didn't even name him and the step mother gave him the name of sin...as in to sin.he grew up friendless, unloved and he pushes away the woman he is forced to marry be living no one will want him, thinking himself unlovable. He is remote and cry...fantastic book.
