Andrew divoff's acting was superb in wishmaster 1 and 2 and the way he smiles is perfect and not to mention if you watch closely the guy never blinks. Its one of the charms of the first and 2nd movie that makes it enjoyable to watch.

I like the first two Wishmasters. And of course he specializes in those ironic wishes. Where you technically get what you want but trust me you don't want it.

The fear Wishmaster used to cause me as a child was unreal. I still can’t even believe I was terrified of this thing lol.

Such an underrated fun film. The Creeper looks like the Djinn when it first comes out the stone and stands up. He also can smell your fear

I also like that first Wishmaster movie because it had so many iconic horror movie actors in it.

Wishmaster is one of those 90s horror movie cheese that you're not meant to take seriously, & that you watch it for the violence, gore, the monster effects and perhaps, the humor.
It's too bad that the Djinn from the Wishmaster franchise never got the strong lore love like Freddy Kruger, Jason Vorhees, Michael Myers, Candyman, Chucky doll, Pinhead from Hellraiser films, Ghostface from Scream films, Jigsaw, etc. but will go down as one of those fun & cheesy horror movie villains you can laugh, cheer, and root for.

6:59 Cell said this line when his tail got ripped off in Team Four Star's Dragon Ball Z abridged series, episode 47.

What a crazy dark fantasy horror film that shows us the mythology of the Djinn and that they are not as friendly as people once thought they were.

There is so much wondrous imagination and lush gardens of character in mythology.

The _Wishmaster_ movies flew under the radar. The first one was particularly great because it had so MANY horror icons involved: Wes Craven, Angus "Tall Man" Scrimm, Robert "Freddy Kruger" Englund, Tony "Candyman" Todd, and Kane "Jason Voorhees" Hodder, Reggie "Reggie" Bannister, George 'Buck' Flower (plus Ted Raimi, Tom Savini, and Robert Kurtzman and Andrew Divoff spawning the Djinn). It was supposed to be a major cross-over with LOTS of easter-eggs but nobody noticed. 🤦

- The second one was okay, they tried to go over-the-top with everything, the story, the effects, etc. and Divoff was getting into the role and making it a real horror character.
- The third was meh (and had a silly ending), and didn't have Divoff, but starred A.J. Cook who starred in _Final Destination 2_ two years later.
- The last one was awful, it was a low-effort, no-budget made-for-TV movie and it showed (yet starred a few familiar faces).

Thank you, Niyat! Loved the first 2 Wishmaster movies. Another one for the list!

One of my favorite horror films! Fantastical premise with a menacing, sexy (in human form) villian with a sadistic sense of humor and a clever final girl in Alex.. it's just... good to watch. Thanks for the reminder Niyat!

How could you not include Reggie Bannister who played Reggie from Phantasm fame to the list. Phantasm is such a underrated masterpiece and Angus Scrimm who voiced the Narrator in Wishmaster and played the Iconic Tall Man (Or his Human counterpart Jebediah Morningside) from Phantasm and losing Angus during filming Phantasm RaVager really broke me down in tears as my beloved childhood horror icon died and losing him made me lose all interest in Horror. Angus was such a amazing and talented actor and I still to this day I miss him.

Only seen this film once long time ago as a kid and remember liking it very much, watching this review I never realized this film had so many cameos from horror legends.

I’ve literally NEVER heard of this movie. I believe this is the very first movie out of every single video you’ve ever made where I didn’t know what you were talking about. As a video game and movie fanatic, that my friend is a major feat!
