I work at the Miami location. I average 2000 cases a night. And my performance percentage is 130% its a fun and challenging job, cant be lazy. Have to have a competitive nature about you. You can make really good money. If you're just starting out. My advice is that you learn to build your pallets. Get familiar with the product and its size, will it support a heavier item, ect. Learn to just be able to drop and go without rearranging your pallet. Once you get accustom to stacking efficiently then your productivity and speed will increase. But stacking is the foundation of any great Selector. Good luck out there, and stay safe. Peace!

This vid gives me ptsd lol. I worked at an HEB distribution center, good money if u wanna work like a mad man all day long. I decided to leave and go to trade school for welding, sacrificed some debt but well worth it, making more and nowhere near as physical. My advice is get into a trade boys, you'll make way more..welding, electrician HVAC, plumbimg

I worked here 2 shifts after my training was done and quit. It just wasn't for me. That was about 10 years ago. I'm now a paramedic with a ton of school and yes, my job's stressful as hell but, I'm not killing myself which was most important to me. That being said, as much as I hated that job in the warehouse, its safety initiatives were top notch and I always had a great feeling when I was in the place.

Showed this to my wife so she could see what I do for a living. So hard to explain it. Way easier to show this exact representation. I love my job!

I'm ready to select 200%, C&S please hire me. Top selector right here and soon to be cdl driver. I'd love to move up and work as a food service driver aswell. Trust me I can use the electric palletjack, forklift, cherrypicker, etc. I know how to build and base pallets and I make routes easier for drivers.

Job itself isn't hard at all. Picking cases, driving a double jack, building pallets that's easy shit. The extreme difficulty is trying to complete a 300-400 piece store within 40 minutes and you have to go through 30+ different aisles. Not to mention you are constantly trying to drive past people who drive in the middle of the aisle, everything just slows you down and everyone is in your way. They should of made them aisles even more narrow. Glad I quit thats for damn sure 2 months there was long enough. Making Alot of money is great but not if you are required to sprint around for 11+ hours a day 5 days a week basically a souless husk whats the point in making all that money? And all of that is assuming you have a good jack, in which case you most likely don't unless you enjoy coming in 2+ hours early for the best equipment off the clock. Oh and don't forget you are encouraged to skip your 15 minutes for better numbers lmao 🤣.

You can be fit all you want, it all depends on your mental stability and how long you can go. Or there's always FEMELA

Did this in Aberdeen freezer... I had to walk away when they started moving away from the Raymond jacks to the Crown jacks. The Crowns were much slower and the handle would fly up causing the jack to stop and dump your entire pallet 😂😂😂
