Well this answers my question about upgrading my original version made of aluminum. I'm a retired carpenter and I keep it in my emergency kit with a pruning blade as well as other reciprocating saw blades for metal, ceramics etc. It's still in perfect working condition after being in my tool box for many years.

I've got the older version of the Lennox. The blade position lock keeps randomly slipping. In its defense, you don't have to completely remove the blade retention screw to swap blades.

Great video thanks. I prefer the Milwaukee saw. I have a Milwaukee Sawzall and like them. The other saw that locks in the weird position may be good for cutting drywall from tom to bottom.

I just got the Lenox. The only thing I don't like about it is the position it closes in and you kind of have to twist the top to unfold it. Changing blades is actually very easy since you only have to twist the lock just a couple turns or so. Untwisting it completely is not at all necessary, that's part of the reason why to magnet is there.

Insightful, shame about the defect on the lennox, liked the extra locking angle. Jus wanted a visual on blade thickness. Relative like. Thx

Try to open it past 180 degrees to 220 or whatever.. useful when you need your hand out of the way like when cutting t bolts down after installing a toilet

I love milwaukee, have tons of packout m18 and m12. But when it comes to cutting, Lenox is untouched. Whether it’s drywall, copper, pvc, metal, wood. Always go Lenox. I own this Lenox saw and it’s great

Lenox products generally shine supreme when it comes to the blades themselves. That's what they've manufactured for over 100 years in their factory in Massachusetts, not all the accessory products that probably get designed in the U.S. and then made in China. I only buy Lenox blades, but it's a toss up on all the rest.

I've broken 2 of the Lenox, both at the thinnest part of the casted body where it swivels. No warranty so Milwaukee takes it ok warranty.

Great review, my Milwaukee has broke twice, the little spring on the inside that locks the blade gave out, never had an issue returning it though for a replacement. My Lenox is over 25 years old. I use the half way lock to fit in close corners and the blade will actually open about another 45 degrees further back. Another feather I have used when cutting close quarters. But I do like them both. Take a closer look at the locking mechanism for each. As I mentioned my Milwaukee lock failed and yes it closed on my fingers. Just saying... :)

I’ve had a bad experience with that Lenox one. The small little tit that keeps the blade from slipping out broke before too long. Now my blade slips out and the thing is now junk.
