Our recent family trip in the second peninsula of Chalkidiki, Greece. It is about two hours away from Thessaloniki City which is the second largest city in Greece. Chalkidiki is the nearest beach destination for beach lovers who lives in Thessaloniki or nearby places. There are lots of choices aside from Chalkidiki but it is the most well known beaches. Not only it has 3 choices to go for from 1st, 2nd and 3rd peninsula. It is the most reasonable way to relax during summer. But these places are mostly packed during summer it is necessary to book or plan ahead your vacation. The camping areas are also clean and affordable. Safe as well. So if you like beaches don't forget to visit Chalkidiki. We toured the whole second peninsula in a day by car.
