iOS 12 Beta 2 Follow-Up

After using iOS 12 for a few days I share my experience.

Thankfully I haven't had the same issues as you did 🙌🏻 it's been pretty good for me, even a bit smoother than the previous beta.

I’ve been using beta 2 on my X since it came out and I haven’t had a problem. Actually been worlds better than beta 1

Beta 2 for me has been better than beta 1 and beta 1 was amazing!

I have resprings too due to this new fancy screen time feature. As soon as I turned it off, I didn’t face this issue. You should probably keep it turned off until it reaches a more stable state. That’s my only recommendation for everyone. YouTube freezes for me most of the time which is really annoying.

Beta 1 and 2 are almost the same for me, the battery life is slightly better as you mentioned in the video (iPhone 5s and 7)

Cellular signal disappears more often, Wi-Fi disconnects a lot, grouped notifications swiping makes crashes and so on! Siri shortcuts and predictions not consistent...

My experience has been the same as yours. My 7+ resprings several times a day. CarPlay freezes up and crashes. I have to reboot at least once a day. When I leave wifi my phone won't switch over to LTE. It's been a mess. Beta 1 was nearly flawless for me. But not so much with beta 2

I’m still on beta 1, which has been pretty good for me. The fact that the battery percentage isn’t properly aligned with the carrier info in the control panel annoys me, so I’m waiting for the next release! Lol

Yeah, my iPhone 8 Plus has been respringing since IOS 12 Beta 1 it happens when I raise to wake and then place my finger on the home button to use Touch ID doesn't happen every time but pretty much every 2-3 times I go to use it.

I have been running this beta on all my devices and I haven’t had any of these issues. All of those issues may only be happening on the iPhone X

Slightly worse for me. Random bugs. Music played on Bluetooth, call came through, then go back to music and the player is stuck. A lot of stuff just getting stuck randomly. But closing and reopening helps.

I’m having the same respring issues too. Typically when using music but also when hitting the power button in the lock screen to check notifications and trying to go into a notification. Hopefully Beta 3 does come out next week but likely the week after, going by Apples history.

I agree, beta 2 is terrible (iPhone 6s). CarPlay is broken. My phone is frozen every morning and I have to force a reboot. My battery life is awful. I just got off of a 1 hr, 5 min phone call. Started at 97% and ended at 72%.
