Jimmy Stewart is his usual best but my biggest joy is watching Walter Brennan. He has such a unique way of acting that he is just such a treat. Much like Peter Lorre.

Thank you for this channel...as a Western collector and wild West show member I love it ! This movie is under rated, but a classic ! I also recommend Rawhide, with Tyrone Power

Those great characters actors/actresses add a whole extra layer to the quality of classic films. Big fan! 🌟

Did you know that Jimmy Stewart so loved Pie that he tried to buy him from his owner/trainer? She wouldn't sell him. All the really big men --- Cooper, Stewart, Wayne --- rode Pie in one film or another. 🐎

Stewart's hat was authentic. He wore it in all his westerns. It just kept getting grubbier, more beat-up, & older, but he wanted that realism. 👍

It's a great movie for me. I love the actual on-set locations and even seeing settlements and migrations across the glaciers in the background. Criterion has a whole winter western themed collection this month btw. Ugh and Jimmy's constant jingling

Flippen is also in "The Killing, " the Stanley Kubrick film for people who don't think they'll like Stanley Kubrick films.

Ah, good, you mentioned Royal Dano!

I love George Marshall’s western Destry Rides Again starring Stewart and Marlene Dietrich
