My Way is originally a french classic titled Comme D’Habitude, composed by Jacques Revaux, written and sang by Claude François.

Then it was translated in English, with different lyrics, by Paul Anka, and later made popular by great singers such as Frank Sinatra, Elvis, Nina Simone, …

Yseult covered the french original in the singer contest that revealed her and we, french audience, knew she would nail the English version.

As a summary, it was a perfect song for a Paris to LA transition.
Also, because it starts rightfully with « and now, the end is near » 😅
