I just thought of something crazy. What if the reason why we don't see Ash's dad is because his dad is the one creating the story. Like Ash is in a coma after being electrocuted by Pikachu. And Ash's father is telling Ash all about HIS pokemon journey while also putting it in Ash's Prospective. Tying in real world events to said story, and making it so that Ash is the one at the center. He doesn't age because in his coma he has no reference of what he looks like when he's older. I know probably not the case and super far out there. But it would make the pokemon Universe hit harder
