The newest gem in the Grand Pacific line opens up the tone possibilities of a round shouldered dreadnought.

The 417e-R Is a Grand Pacific acoustic-electric crated with solid Indian rosewood back and sides, a solid Sitka spruce top and -Class bracing. The round-shoulder dreadnought design pairs beautifully with the classic rosewood/spruce tonewood configuration, yielding a vintage-inspired, blended sound with clear low-end power and notes that overlap into a seamless whole. A warm bass range and crisp trebles resonate around a slightly scooped midrange, while the innovative bracing design
coaxes out more power, longer sustain and near-perfect harmony across the fretboard. Like its siblings, the 417e-R is detailed white binding, black and white top purfling, a single-ring agoya shell rosette, Finial fretboard inlays in Italian acrylic, a gloss-finish body with a Tobacco Sunburst top, nickel tuners and a faux tortoiseshell pickguard. It includes ES2 electronics for warm and dynamic amplified sound and a deluxe hardshell case for storage and protection.

I think sub 25" scale length would've been cool but the wood selection and overall appearance are magnificent. The warmth really came through on the microphone

FOr many years I just sort of ignored Taylor, and stuck with Martin for 6 strings, and Guild for 12 strings. Kinda typical. A few years ago, I started having problems woth one of my Guild 12 strings and Thought I try another brand for 12 string. For years a friend of mine kept telling how great his Taylor 12 string was. He knew I was a nut for 12 string, and he was relentless!! lol This time I didn't ignore him and got myself a Taylor. It's an amazing guitar, and I feel like a fool for not checking them out much sooner. This one sounds really nice. I'll try to listen to other demos too to see if they sound similar across the board. So far I dig it though!

Cool. Hope lots of lawyers and doctors buy a bunch then trade at Guitar Center so I can get a clean used one for half the new price like I did on my 510e. 👍

I would have to play them to really know, both sound good. The p94 is more high mids, less low mids, the noiseless P90 is fuller. I would go for the least compressed and most balanced one ideally. I am leaning towards P90.
