Weird Train Splits The Buildings! Sperry Rail Doodle Bug, Railroad Diamond Rare Shot, CSX Loco Move

Railroad Diamond At 4 Track Railroad Crossing Rare Angle! Odd Train Goes Between Buildings Following High Rail Truck, Sperry Rail Train Passes Norfolk Southern Train, Penn Central Locomotive Leads Grain Train Passing RR Crossing, CSX Power Move & More! These trains are in Muncie, Indiana. Muncie Fire Department Has An Abandoned Railroad Siding Behind It.
Loaded grain train with a Norfolk Southern Railroad heritage unit leading is the first train. The Penn Central Railroad heritage unit is on the front as the train is approaching a railroad crossing in Muncie. The springs on the hopper cars are noticeably depressed due to the weight of the grain.
Then the gang heads over to a slightly rusty railroad track that goes between buildings on a curve. We see the rail up close before the train comes. A high rail truck is leading the train. The train is the GREX SPS train that has a track hoe on it for drainage work. One person operates this train which is remote control. The operator has a wireless devise that he uses to move the train while he is working the track hoe. The railroad saves money by not needing an engineer and conductor for the train and they save money by not having to wait for the crew to arrive. The track hoe operator is the only person needed. We also see an abandoned railroad track at a switch that is directly behind the Muncie Fire Department.
Next we go to a railroad diamond that sits right next to the 4 track railroad crossing. Check out the shot of the eastbound Norfolk Southern train with hopper cars and tank cars. Notice how many railfans showed up to Railfan with Scott and me. Pretty cool!
Then we go to another railroad crossing to try to catch a couple of trains crossing. We heard them on the scanner. A westbound NS train appears and stops while blocking the crossing. While it was stopped CSX made a small power move going eastbound. Then the Sperry Rail inspection vehicle passes us. It looks for microscopic cracks in the rail. Right after it passes, the NS train starts up. Listen to how loud the cars bang! That was pretty cool.
The pets and the slide show are at the end of the video. We also see a car that got pulled over right in front of us on our way home. The car appeared to have been speeding. We moved over to give the police room for the traffic stop.

That place here where you show the partially buried track was part of many War Emergency yards built in secret to help with the over flow of WWII supplies going over seas for our fighting men.these yards were located in strategic marshaling areas and hidden as much as possible from the air and line of site useing regular box cars.

I am a shut in now and your channel here on YT keeps me very Kokomo has little or no rail anymore....last time i was train spotting was a few years ago in Logansport a great railroad town....God Bless you brother
