Of course here, the PAs sound better. You can clearly hear the general sound muffling design in HiFi speakers which give nosy narrow projection in comparison.

Low-end Home audio speakers do not get very loud, and still lack detail compared to mid-end and high-end hi-fi speakers but, they still sound way better than low-end PA speakers. The sound quality of low-end home audio speakers like 4-inch bookshelf speakers is similar to high-end PA speakers but with a more intimate and homely tone to the sound. The home audio speakers have a deeper cleaner bass, clearer mids, and crisper more detailed highs. But most mid-end 70-watt 5 to 6-inch bookshelf speakers are loud enough to satisfy indoor house parties and 89 to 92 decibels to speakers with silk dome tweeters can have the same level of musical immersion as a PA speaker at 103 decibels.

through my hd800, they are both horrible but i'd take the PA speakers coz it has the decibels to offer specially AFTER equalizing.

I have Shure PA SR112's as part of a 13 spkr home stereo soundsystem powered by a Marantz 2275 & a Sony AV STR-DE695 & they sound incredible, Had to use a Stereo L-pad to blend the Shure's output in to the other 11 spkrs due to the high SPL common to most PA spkrs. Using 2 Infinity BU-1 Active subs as well to augment the bass the Shure's miss, 50 yr old Shure spkrs still going strong, You could have both your Hifi & PA spkrs in the vid on @ the same time @ the end for a unique comparison of how they can complement ea other together.

Hifi for some uses. PA for mass gathering, sometimes i don't like the sound of PA's, they are lack of lows like Bose and is needed to be accompanied by a subs

I got some samson resound rs10HDs to tinker about with I have a feeling Im finna like this speaker though.
I just picked up a vintage radioshack mpa200 Im gonna be disconnecting the fan of to make it scilent we'll see how it does but I think I won't be disapointed with this dope new rig Im mashing together.
I also plan on taking two alto model tx8s and buting them up side by side tweeter to tweeter and feeding them via my yahama reciever's center pre out to create one bigassed center channel outa it.

The PA speakes need more wattage for shine and a subwoofer

Those wharfedale Titan 12 Sounded Horrible out of the box I have 4 of them there lightweight yes but sound quality errr nope

I recommend Wharfedale Delta or EVP more than titan in terms of sound quality

How do I hook up PA speakers to my AV receiver?

Pa speakers in general they are made to generate high spl but they lack low bass and are very annoying when close to them (very shouty in the mids and highs)
Plus the cabinet is usually plastic which creates bad resonance to the sound so allot of bad points here for PA.
Hifi speakers are way better in everything
Good bookshelves speakers or towers
And if you choose the righ ones you can get the loudness which you have from PA speakers without sacrificing sound quality

Wharfedale all the way look them up and see what there top speaker is what ever the hi fi company is it wont even come close to the cost of a Wharfedale
