What's hilarious is that Alireza's problem was being too good. When he beat Hikaru, Magnus said that this gives him some motivation to play good chess. Then Magnus started worrying that if he is not in good shape, he might lose. This led to a very focused Magnus Carlsen that is a league above all other GMs.
