The conference presented research and case studies unpacking the root causes underlying the low participation of girls and women in STEM industries and academia. As part of UNDP’s goal to promote STEM4ALL, it showcased best practices and offer policy recommendations to accelerate gender equality in STEM from various perspectives (global, regional, country, and grassroots). The conference was open call for more countries to join the action-based learning network and storytelling campaign of gender champions in STEM.
