When I was in high school thirty five years back, my auto shop teacher took us on a field trip out to firebird raceway out here in Phoenix. Got hooked on the MOPAR's they had out there. Still in my blood.

Can't get over how sportsmanlike demonology is, what a great guy!
It's also wonderful to see young men getting in to Drag Racing scene even to spectate is a great beginning. I'm from Western Kentucky and all but one of our local tracks have close down in the last 10 years.

That’s awesome getting the kids out there. I loved cars as a kid, but what put it over the edge and started my obsession was when my brother let me fire up his first car...I was 5 or 6 and it was a ‘76 T/A with an Olds 350 rocket that sounded rowdy and went like hell.

My bro under the hood: “give it more gas, give it more gas”.
Me inside: “okay no more pumping nonsense, I’ll hold it to the floor”.

When that monster busted off the tech needle shot straight to 5500rpm before I could let of...it rattled my little bones, shook my hair and made my ears itch. I was hooked ever since that day!
