Hi everyone!

Did you know it's only 30 cents more to go all the way up to the crown of the Statue of Liberty?? What's the catch you ask? Well you need to book in advance, sometimes 6 months to a year in advance...

BUT with a bit of luck and mostly planning, you can experience a tight and thrilling climb and see NYC from a whole different view!

We highly recommend this as a unique thing to do while in NYC. This ticket includes the ferry ride to and from the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island!!

This is in no way sponsored, we just wanted to share this experience with you. We hope you enjoy the journey!

Thanks for watching 💕

When my mother and I climbed to the crown in about 1948, the crown was open (no windows). I raced ahead of my mom and grabbed one of the vertical bars of the opening. I leaned out in order to read the tablet -- no mom or security to stop me --. The tablet reads July 4, 1776, per my memory. In 1956, I was the first in my High Scholl class to walk to the top of the Washington Monument. Today, at 85, I can still climb stairs, but many fewer.

thanks for the tour! I've lived in the USA my entire life and I've never seen the inside of the statue, looked dangerous in there or claustrophobic but amazing at the same time.

I've climbed the steps to the top of the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, the Washington Monument, Notre Dame, St. Pauls and Saint Peters....all before 30 YO.. I'm 76 now, show me to the elevator, please!

Cool video...I climbed those ridiculous stairs way back in 1968. Great experience being up inside the statue of liberty; and climbibing to the top. A wonderful memory. I was in awe.

Thank you so much for making this! My wife and I are going to the crown and this helps us a lot! She’s nervous about the amount of steps and the tightness. Seeing what it’s like helps prepare her.

I went with my family when I was a teen back in the early 1970's long before the renovations. It was a hot summer's day and the thermometer at the site said that the temperature inside the statue was 120 degrees! Still we made it up the narrow shakey looking stairs, not like the nice ones in the video that they have today. It was very very slow moving with people crammed in front and in back of you. I remember one of the windows in the crown had a crack in it. Still all in all it was a memorable experience though one that my very claustrophobic today self would ever do! It's not for the faint of heart.

I like her video because she was clearly nervous about it like I would be ❤

We climbed to the crown on one of the hottest days back in 2018. Well worth the climb up the narrow stairs and the cramped crown.
Literally a once in a time lifetime experience.

Thanx! This was great and emotional to see. My dad visited the crown in the 60s, he said it was windy at the top, but also extremely hot, so i guess this was before the windows was installed, and def before ventilation. Strange and nice to see the exact stairs my dad walked, i hope i can visit it one day!

Thank you for this tour. I haven't been there since I was a small child, so it's nice to see it once again.

Thanks for sharing, I have traveled the world seen many sites, even was able to visit NYC for two days, however it was for school so never made it to the Statue of Liberty though I always wanted to go. Thanks for letting me and others share it through you. I may get to visit the it some time but will never be able to go up into the crown as I am 70 and have a bad back. Again thank you, and great video by the way.

what a perfect day you picked to visit. Having the stunning RMS Queen Mary 2 at her Brooklyn berth seen on a sunny day from the crown is an impressive picture. Definitely adds to the historic importance, thinking of all the people who have sailed into NY harbor past the SoL while on the decks of all the Cunard Transatlantic liners makes this view even more incredible. Thanks for sharing!

I remember going up to the crown years ago but I just remember the maze of stairs in the body which were intimidating like you said. The long stairs I don’t remember but maybe it was my youth blurring my memory.

Great filming, thank you. I was lucky at 16 years to climb up to the base when holidaying from England, June 1968. The statute was absolutely crowded and so hot and humid.
