It's so sad that WE need to find a solution to this. I got finally banned for 8 hours. But I understand Blizzard is such a small company, they can't fix this right away...

This is not helpful. I've done all this, this is basic troubleshooting, I am also on console so it limits my ability to some of these "fixes".

I hate this bug they should fix this asap because it literally gets you banned from comp while there is almost nothing you can do about it

LISTEN! This is the bypass for right now. When you launch OW2, jump into QP UNRANKED OPEN QUEUE, you can play the match out or leave the game. THEN, you can go to Competitive Mode without having that stupid Applying Update screen. It works legit every time. I mean it. But if you restart your console/PC/Game, then you need to REDO the steps I said. It’s a bypass fix for right now. Also it doesn’t matter if you win or lose the open queue match. Dumb blizzard needs to fix there game when it comes to detecting when someone got dc vs someone intentionally leaving the game. So dumb.

The only way to get around this on console is to restart the game and hope it doesn't happen again. It sometimes will so just go into unranked until it goes away. Otherwise you get suspended from comp for no reason other than the game decided so.

I just got the update error twice now and just got it right now im on ps4 btw, , , , for god sake blizzard fix your god damn game, i already had bug problems with battlefield 2024 and cod mw2 and now this
