Zero Motorcycles FX Honest Review

What's up everyone, it's Alex! In today's video we finally do the Zero Motorcycles FX honest review, which I have been meaning to get around to! The Zero FX is super cool, and I think zero motorcycles in general are an awesome step forward for motorcycling in general. I think electric motorcycles are a big step forward, and I hope they keep refining them in the near future!

lots of yakking but no info i was looking for, power, speed and how far can you go. i think that's what were really interested in. does it feel like a 125 or a 600 on steroids? will it go 20 miles on a full charge or 1000 miles? whats the top speed? 30 mph or 120? how about 0 to 60?

Wow on the standard battery (Putman below), it can do over 100 miles? That's a seriously good range for a fun weekend ride, commute to work etc. The Zero motorcycle company is really the pioneer of e motorbikes. They remind me of what Indian, BSA and Harley Davidson were to petrol motorcycling. Hats off to Zero motorcycles and great article Alex.

What about how it handles off road? I'm considering one but I'm a bigger guy. So I need like a 450 high out put off road to really get it. You mentioned its similar to a 250-650 duel sport. Those are vastly different. Also no talk of range at all really.

its not automatic if its only one speed, its just one speed. automatic means that an automatic transmission exists on the bike

i am hoping in the nex video's to see some in depts testing an comparisations.
Here in Belgium we don't get to test-ride a zero FX/FXS which is really sad because this could be my next bike after my Electric KTM Freeride E-XC
- Battery range when off roading 'full throttle'
- Battery range when riding in town 'full throttle'
- battery ranges off road and in town when baby'ing the throttle?
- how long does it takes to charge a full cycle?
- How is the throttle handling? custom setups possible?
- Do you have all the torque from standstill or is is the torque limited for some reason?
- How does the bike compare to KTM-Freeride E-XC (accelleration wise)
- And finally, is it a fun bike? (how easilly does it wheelie?)

I don’t know if it’s a learning curve but I like the clutch. Sometimes in tricky stuff I slip the clutch and ride my bike like a two stroke. When you run into trouble the engine revs but your ok because you grabbed the clutch. My kids have auto clutches and I don’t know how many times I’ve seen them off into the rhubarb. This is the only thing that worries me about electric bikes. I am not a discounter as I already have an electric car.

I was hairs width from buying one of these till I found out the Battery pack is a Lithium Ion instead of a Lithium Iron Phosphate, very close to a perfect bike but for the price they want it needs to have the right equipment.

Can I ride the Zero FXS on my CBT licence even if I only passed on a scooter and not a geared bike ?
