My father use to say "some people need to have their face pushed right into the shit before they know it stinks" I guess that's Canada.

Poor Canada. The people don’t deserve this and their “leadership” has really done wrong. I guess this might be karma after the treatment of the truckers. I can’t help but be sad that their anthem says, “ The True North, strong and free!” and every time I hear that (Hockey mostly), I weep a little for them because it’s simply not true lately.

Canada's economic centre is near Alberta but it's political centre lies between Ottawa and Quebec. We have abundant oil and gas but no domestic pipelines and Davos has put a carbon tax on all our fuel. We prevent trade between provinces and our dairy products are protected with huge tarriffs that keep our farmers happy. Only 6 banks operate here and they obey government by closing accounts Trudeau's wonderland.has been handed to Carney without an election.

I'm an American who lived in Canada for 7 years. Taxes and protectionist policies have destroyed Canadian living standards. When I moved to Canada in 2008, my US cell phone bill was less than $30 a month. In Canada, my cell phone bill jumped to over $350 a month because every call was considered long distance, even the town next to you. Banks, telecom and a host of other industries have complete monopolies in the country and regularly engage in price fixing, all with gov't approval. As a Canadian, try shopping in the US for the day and drive back over the border; the Canadians employ SWAT level border teams to search your car to find items they can tax, that is literally all they care about, collecting taxes.
