They did Latrice dirty more than once.. Remember when she also couldn't fit into the paint smock when they had to design night clubs.. Yeah she laughed it off like it was funny but it seemed a little messed up in my opinion. I adore Latrice. She was still such a good sport, even when it was reasonable that she didn't need to be.

Honestly… at least they did something with it and didn’t make it into a weird edit where the big girl was just “making excuses”.
They probably did not think through with it and had to come up with the deconstruction and extra time on the spot; and it served her well on the runway. Cuz she and her boat looked really good.

Thank god they didnt do that Mystique season 2 edit on her tbh, like, in both cases it was clearly productions fault for not accommodating to plus size queens (Mystique with the mannequin and Latrice with this) but at least here they took the responsability as they should
