Oh fuck, I just noticed that the way the red sky goes back to blue after the giant baseball gets hit back by Haruko is exactly the same way the sky turns red during Third Impact in Evangelion 2.0. Eva inspired FLCL, inspired Eva.

Childhood. What a show... This show literally influenced me the most from childhood. Looking back now after having lost my mother, grew up with a Dad I hardly knew, my older brother having left too. I realized just how much this show truly did influence me after rewatching it again. Nothing crazy like this of course but it's funny how the universe does that kind of stuff. I loved this show as a child, and was watching this character who would be in the same boat that I'd be in just a handful of years down the line.

And without realizing it, I was playing a character to cope with all that loss back then. It all feels like life times ago.. it's been so long since that day..
