OMG Thank you for getting up close with the tile, Allowing us to see where your setting the tile in place. I've watched dozens of so called diy videos who say what to do, Do it without showing us what they just did. I have brought $100s of dollars worth of tools, saws, pull down cutters, etc that will probably be used on other project. Many of these talk too much videos are why people drop out of diy school.

Good Job! Your floor came out great! The baby in the middle of the room during installation was a nice touch lol too cute! Reminds me of the first floor my wife & I did over 20 yrs ago she was pregnant & our 1st born was under 2 & we installed laminate in our first house and he was right there with us! He works with me installing floors now!

The orange floors definitely dated the space before. The new flooring looks so good! Your instructions were so clear and easy to follow. Great editing too!

SelectLOC TM Click Installation

The click installation is intuitive, and easy once you get going.
Before you lay the first plank

Leave a 3/8″ gap around the perimeter of the room. We have shims that we cut and place around the room (taping them to the wall using painter’s tape) to keep the gap. This allows for the boards to expand and contract with the house.

Hi guys thanks for the brilliant tutorial. I am about to purchase the same flooring but just needed to know whether I need beading around the edges or are the skirting/baseboards enough?

You state the expansion gap should be 1/8", ive just bought some Golden Select from my local Costco. The recommened expansion gap in there instructions is 10mm or 3/8" of an inch .

Where's the 2mm base foam that is supposed to be put on before the laminates?

I just got the GS laminate too. I was wondering if there’s any harm in putting a thin padding down anyway even though this comes with one. I wanted to do it to make up for the unevenness in my subfloor. I think the sub floor can’t have more than 3mm gaps or something like that. I also wanted to add a little extra noise reduction. What do u think?

Golden select website says to have a gap of 3/8 inches between flooring and wall? Is a 1/8 inch gap better?

Thanks for the video!

When a board is up against an area like a saddle or where a transition piece will go how do you secure that one side since it’s no longer against a wall for the stability in order to tap the joints together??

I'll be laying 1000 sq ft of Golden Select over the next couple weeks. Couple questions. Any need to cut down the width of the first row? (The width of the room will have 1/3 width on the last plank....just wondering if it'd look better or do it really matter). And I don't own a table saw. Will a circular saw be fine? Thanks. :)

How did you fit the last row of flooring? If you can't hammer it it to get it flat because its right next to the wall? Thanks!

You have a dremel tool and a dremel blade on your list of tools used. I am confused because the dremel tool is a rotating one that can be used for drilling and other purposes. The dremel blade is for the reciprocating model. I don't see how you can use that blade on that dremel tool. Or am I misunderstanding something?
