I went to 15 garage sales to find affordable vintage home decor!

The shop for my primary bedroom continues.. but this time with a community garage sale! There were so many but I managed to go through 15 of them IN ONE MORNING as I searched for cool lighting and furniture. I found some really awesome pieces for next to NOTHING! Just found your videos and enjoyed seeing all the garage sales!!! I personally thought that all the ones you showed had great stuff - because so many of the items looked older and not just new stuff that came from HomeGoods (aka China!).
My first love is home decor and remodeling and loved garage sales when I was younger - a neighborhood wide sale like that would have been sooo fun to be able to go to lots of them in a short amount of time. I adored that one horizontal frame with the grooves/lines and wish you had bought that one! Don’t recall the artwork in it but the frame itself was fabulous!!! Thanks for sharing your hunt and treasures!

This was painful to watch...what fabulous yard sales! So much garden stuff. Makes me want to rent a minivan and take a trip to San Diego to hit yard sales next June. Such fun, thank you!

The one you said it was like a native American pottery it’s actually a Mexican cántaro and it’s small because it’s a toy. We have big ones and they’re use to put drinking water. You can find the big ones in a Mexican Market

The "milking stool" is an old chair without the back. The back was probably rounded at the top. A milking stool is much smaller and lower to the ground. I asked my husband if he had ever seen one like that and he said no that it was too big. He milked for many years and I've seen their milking stools and others as we lived in a rural community growing up and had many family members and friends that farmed and milked cows. Hope you aren't too disappointed

I quit yard sales because of so many people that just grab everything because they’re selling online!! Sometimes I would manage to get behind one of those people and my day would be ruined!

Could I make a little suggestion: don’t wear ball caps or shirts with writing on them when you are videotaping The letters come out backward, and it is very confusing. Actually, you have such pretty hair that it’s a shame to put on any sort of cap. I just discovered your channel today - such fun! At 85 with mobility issues, I can’t go thrifting anymore 😢. So funny, you pick up something to look at, and my eye goes immediately somewhere else. We all have our own favourites, don’t we? It’s fun to see what neighbourhoods in San Diego look like - much like ours here in Toronto Canada, except for the palm trees I see here and there. Keep up the good work.
