Holašovice - South Bohemian village listed in Unesco

Показать описание
The typical South Bohemian village of Holašovice is a settlement of the village of Jankov.
It is located in the South Bohemian Region, 15 km west of České Budějovice and less than 30 km north of Český Krumlov, at an altitude of 494 m above sea level, on the southwestern edge of the Blanský les Protected Landscape Area, below the forested Skalka, Švehlán and Vysoká hills.
The area lies at the southern edge of an important cultural and historical area of South Bohemian Blat, which is characterized by a rural environment, with valuable village spaces and a sensitive placement of these settlements in the surrounding landscape.
Thanks to its uniqueness, Holašovice was inscribed on the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List, mainly for its extraordinary architectural and urban values.
They represent a unique preserved set of farmsteads, which were structurally and artistically modified during the 19th century into a specific form of the so-called peasant baroque. The hitherto intact form of the floor plan solution, the subdivision and the structure of the development, which is an example of village urbanism from the period of the peak phase of medieval colonization, is unique.
