A lot of people get triggered by Ashley cole; when this man was the captain of spurs, told them for months he'd stay, and then joined arsenal

Sol we absolutely loved you, you could have chosen any club in Europe and you chose Woolwich. That was a massive slap in the face of every fan who had worshiped you for years. You were our captain, our hero and the most popular player and you shafted us. Never forgive, never forget.

He can stick his apology. It would have been forgivable if he went to United, or Liverpool or even aboard.

But going to Arsenal that is unforgivable, and to this day he still doesn't understand why he's hated. This is from the so called "smartest" person in football.

"I'm staying." - Sol Campbell, 2001 😂😂😂

He literally says “I’m not going to apologise for the move because I was successful”

I'm a Liverpool fan but even I know how despicable this transfer was. I would feel the same if any Liverpool player directly moved to Everton or Utd. I mean Michael Owen is still hated at Liverpool even to this day and that wasn't even a direct move.

Leaving was disappointing, going to Arsenal is unforgivable. Don’t care it’s been over 10 years or he was trying to move the club on - he knew what he was doing and just didn’t care.

For me, his going to a ARSEnal was tough to take...but for After being developed by the academy. Unforgivable. Judas.

I was about 10 when he did this and remember it clear as day... no way he will ever be forgiven!

He lived every Tottenham fans dream, he lifted the Premier League title at White hart lane. What more could you ask for

Funny how he actually won a trophy at Spurs.

You just don’t betray the club that made you. You just don’t, under any circumstances.

You also don’t lie, say you’ll stay, and then a couple of months later - leave to arch rivals! I don’t care what he ended up winning.

Jelly and ice cream…

It wasn’t him going that irritated me, it was his or his reps handling of the process. “I’m not going, I’m not going………” he’s gone. The fact that he went to Arsenal? I see the emotion, but for me, the poor comms and the apparent dishonesty leading up to his departure. I just think he was poorly advised.

For the Americans, this would be like prime Magic Johnson joining the Celtics

Here in premier league we have sol Campbell, Ashley Cole, Robin van Persie, Carrick, berbatov, Carlos Tevez, Torres, Sterling, cantona Ferdinand, Alan Smith, Nasri and Sanchez I. I mean list goes on and on. Just a reminder laliga is selling the same story of Figo leaving for more than a decade now where as in premier league this is too common to make rivals more bitter.

This man is a joke, sounds like a joke and acts like a joke.

Going to arsenal will never be OK.
