I thought that I would not like BRS as I thought there was far too much abstraction in the system, and the advantage bases just seemed like a gimmick. I am always skeptcal of “gimmicks.” This past Adepticon we got the guys from the Lead Pursuit Podcast to give us a demo and I ended up leaving the convention with a mountain of BRS boxes I picked up at the Warlord booth. It is very abstract, but it is a fun game that plays fast, and I think you will discover there is plenty of complexity the more you dive into it. I find that I like the game so much that I am going to be helping the LPP guys run a Mig Alley event and I will be running a Pacific BRS event as part of our Guadalcanal project at Adepticon here in March.

I commented in one of your other videos about the projects I had planned for the year and I now have another Great paint job, I'd like to see the 109's tutorial first.

Paint jobs on the fighter planes look amazing! and yet another game you've tempted me into buying. Time go and explain to the wife that I don't have any WWII games yet and that this would be absolutely "essential" for my gaming shelves, LOL.

Lovely finish on the aircraft, bought the game when it came out and have since added mossies and dornier bombers, played a couple of games on the blue mat I use for warlords mtb game but found I could get 1939 issue ordinance survey maps of the South Coast and game on them, scales a bit out but cheap to make a big area to play.

I play Wings of Glory. It's a great game with beautifully pre-painted models but it's much more expensive and the models are hard to get hold of. The Battle of Britain starter set is a good place to start. Blood Red Skies looks good with a very wide range of models available. I wonder why they haven't gone for a harder plastic for the models? It wouldn't add too much to the price.

I've always been tempted with BRS and I love the review you've done. I'm still 50/50, I'm not sure if I like the actual models. I've seen a lot of people talk about 3d printing planes and using the rules 🤔

The aircraft painted up really well though and the clean up looked painful 🤭

Maybe it's a difference between British and American English, but I have never heard the word "Decals" pronounced as dek els. Here in the States we usually pronounce "Decals" the way it is spelled as in Dee Cals with a hard C. Not Dek els.

Andy Chambers always looked a bit... disheveled in his staff picture.
