'The Tower XXII' by o1iv3 | Geometry Dash 2.2

This is NOT meant as a TAS run of any kind, this is a slower more understandable run and route that is a lot more possible for people to replicate, though I doubt people will be getting times this fast for a while.

This level is pretty similar to the last platformer extreme (I wanna be the guy) except it's a lot more difficult. Something like IWBTG is a lot more brute-forcible than a level like this. This requires a lot of skill. Still, the level is pretty lazily decorated and there's not much inspiring decoration anywhere. It's a bit boring really, but people exploring gameplay ideas with the new platformer mode is nice!

I would call this Top 1 platformer but this will probably get dethroned in about 1 day lol so I will try remember to change the title when that happens.

Fun Fact!
This level is inspired by a map in a Celeste Mod called Strawberry Jam, with the map’s name being The Tower XVI. It is known for being the hardest map in that difficulty and atrocious to its shockingly hard (and honestly quite frustrating) gameplay. The creator of this level (olive_r) is also known for playing Celeste maps, and he has beaten a couple from the hard list!

This level actually sucks balls, this level's only purpose is to be a new top 1 and nothing else. It's the perfect mix of lazy pixel art deco, hitbox abuse, unbalanced gameplay (second checkpoint is literally harder than IWBTG), lazy sound design and atmosphere, etc. I really hope these new top 1 levels stop sometime in early 2024, otherwise the future of extreme platformer levels doesn’t look good.
