The goal of the Technical Showcase is to strengthen and broaden science and technology collaborations among industry, academia, and the Department of Defense (DoD) through a monthly topic-focused interchange event. Each month a researcher from AFRL/RW will deliver a 25-minute presentation about the projects he/she is working on and the technical capabilities they seek. This presentation provides industry and academia with valuable insight into the lab's research priorities and technical capabilities.

May: Part 1 of Multi-Domain Weapons Technologies: Terminal Effects
In collaboration with Anne Marie Petrock, Ph.D., Senior Research Scientist for Warheads Technology in the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command’s Armaments Center (DEVCOM), this presentation provides industry and academia with valuable insight into the lab's research priorities and technical capabilities.

Capabilities that are required include:
-Intelligent fire control that engages propulsion systems to determine the optimal range from modular propelling charges and rocket motors.
-This enables multiple enhanced effects from aligning multiple rounds for optimal results through tailoring velocities for:
Simultaneous arrival
Multi-use propulsion technologies
Early determination of battlefield engagement
Tailored flight trajectories for advanced ConOps
Terminal engagements
